VanBemmelenVanGent Legal is the law office of Ernst van Bemmelen van Gent.

 

Ernst graduated in law at the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands). He received a cum-laude post-graduate degree (LL.M.) from the University of Dresden (Germany).

 

Ernst is admitted to the Bar of the High Court of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in The Hague. Practicing law on St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles, he was also admitted to the Bar of the Common Court of Justice of the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. Ernst acted as expert witness in the courts of Florida (U.S.A.).

 

Prior to becoming an attorney at law (in Dutch: “advocaat”) Ernst served as assistant to professor Peter Hay at abovementioned University of Dresden. Currently, he holds a position as lecturer at The Hague University Law School.

 

The professional experience of Ernst comprises all fields of law relevant for businesses. He served as local counsel for various well known brand names as ABN Amro Bank, RBTT Bank, Shell, Burger King, Subway, and Heineken.

Information and recourse can be obtained from the Dean of the Bar Association of the High Court of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (www.advocatenorde-denhaag.nl) General terms and conditions, a copy of which will be handed over at the commencement of the services, apply on all services of VanBemmelenVanGent Legal. In these terms the liability of the law office is limited to the amount paid out by the insurance company. The current maximum is € 500.000.
